NSW: Woman killed in fall from XPT may have been drinking = 2

CountryLink later issued a statement saying they were calling for tenders to install
central locking on the XPT fleet.

The new door locking system was expected to be in place by the end of next year.

"State Rail would like to extend its deepest sympathy to the family of the deceased," the
statement said.

It said all external doors on XPT trains had large warning signs above them, and metal
flaps covering the door handles to prevent accidental opening.
