NSW: Suspicious device in car in Wagga Wagga

A suspicious device in a car in front of a motel has led to the evacuation of the area in
Wagga Wagga.

Police say army bomb squad experts were called after a man, arrested earlier on charges
relating to a domestic dispute, led them to the device.

The area immediately surrounding the car was evacuated shortly after 11.30am (AEST).

Police say the arrested man, whose age and residence has not been released, has not been
charged in relation to the find.

Army bomb squad experts are examining the package.
